Ute Bottmann is an accredited specialist for Criminal Law and in the law firm she primarily specialises in the fields of white collar crime, criminal law concerning physicians and medicine, capital markets criminal law as well as offences related to customs and foreign trading. She studied law at the Johannes-Gutenberg-University in Mainz and completed her practical legal training within the district of the Higher Regional Court Koblenz, with optional stages in, among others, Beverly Hills. During her practical legal training she passed the Certificate of Proficiency of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the area of “English for Business", and participated in the American Law Introductory Courses at the Elisabeth-Selbert Akademie Saarbrücken.
Upon admission to the bar in 1994, Ute Bottmann started her criminal law oriented legal career at the law firm Dres. Wasserburg & Urschbach in Mainz. She joined the partnership Kern Preis Zindel in Wiesbaden in the year 2002. In 2010 she became partner of the law firm DIERLAMM Rechtsanwälte. She proofs her special expertise in capital markets criminal law by several speeches she has given on the topic as well as with several publications. Ute Bottmann is a lecturer for criminal law and criminal procedure at the Justus-Liebig-University Gießen.
Ute Bottmann is a member of the Criminal Law Section of the German Bar Association and of the Association of Hessian Defence Lawyers e.V.
