Christopher G. Tiede specialises in the fields of white-collar crime, environmental criminal law, data protection criminal law and general criminal law.
He studied law at the Justus Liebig University Giessen from 2009 to 2015. His studies focused on criminal justice and criminology. From 2015 to 2016, Christopher G. Tiede completed an LLM degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, at the end of which he was awarded the academic degree of Master of Laws (LLM).
Since 2016, Christopher G. Tiede has been a PhD candidate at the Justus Liebig University Giessen and is writing his doctoral thesis on a topic in the field of comparative criminal procedural law. During his doctoral studies, he worked from 2016 to 2017 as a research associate at one of Germany’s leading commercial law firms, in particular in the fields of compliance and banking supervisory law.
Christopher G. Tiede completed his legal clerkship from 2018 to 2020 in the Higher Regional Court District of Frankfurt am Main, choosing to focus on criminal justice. In this context, he gained experience, inter alia, at the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) and in the department for white-collar crime of an international commercial law firm in Frankfurt am Main.
He joined the law firm as an associate in 2021.
