Roman Reiss is active in commercial criminal law, criminal tax law and tax litigation. He also specializes in compliance training, CMS consulting and internal investigations and acts as an ombudsperson for companies and public authorities. He is a certified tax lawyer, certified compliance officer (University of St.Gallen) and lecturer for compliance and commercial criminal law at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.

Roman studied law in Frankfurt am Main and completed his legal clerkship in Wiesbaden. He received his doctorate on a topic of commercial criminal law and supplemented his work with an economic analysis of law during a research stay at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of the managing board of the regional Chamber of Attorneys in Stuttgart and represents the Chamber in the advisory board of the state association Landesverband der Freien Berufe Baden-Württemberg (LFB).

He has been working as a lawyer since 2001, first in an international law firm in Frankfurt am Main and then in a law firm in Stuttgart specializing in commercial criminal law, criminal tax law and tax litigation.  In 2010, he moved to Robert Bosch GmbH in the compliance department.  There he built up the central department for the compliance offices in the business divisions and then the central department for internal investigations and the whistleblowing system of the Bosch Group.  He was the Compliance Officer Germany and held various management positions, most recently as vice president.

On 1 January 2023, he joined DIERLAMM Rechtsanwälte as a partner.

Roman is a member of the editorial advisory board of the journal "Compliance Berater" (CB) and the "Zeitschrift zum Innovations- und Technikrecht" (InTeR), on the advisory board of the online magazine "ComplianceBusiness", a founding member of the WisteV association of commercial criminal law, member of the Stuttgart Bar Association, the criminal law working group of the German Bar Association and the compliance management working group of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA).

He regularly appears with lectures.
